SECONDARY SCHOOL​
Conduct
Students will be respectful and polite to all adults within the school premises. This includes teachers, auxiliary staff, cafeteria staff, bus operators as well as visitors.
Students must communicate using language in a tone an volume that is not disrespectful or demeaning.
Students must communicate using language that is consistent with the high standards that we esteem at St.George's
Uniform, Dress and Grooming
Dress and grooming standards enable us to create a safe educational environment that is free from distractions. Uniforms encourage discipline, reduce social and economic barriers among students and increase school pride.
Hair and Accessories

Hair should be well groomed and styled appropriately.

Hair must always be pulled back neatly.

Hair styles must not be disruptive.

Only watches and earrings are allowed.

Watches must not have attached, calculators, cell phones, cameras or any other devices.
Nails
Long nails can be dangerous as such nails should be kept short.
Extensions such as acrylic nails should not be worn.
Nails must not be painted.
For Girls-
Hair styles should not include excessive extensions, bright colours, letters, designs or markings shaved into the hair.
Hair accessories should be minimal and only, black, dark green, white or dark brown.
Earring should be discrete and either silver or gold-coloured.
Damgling earrings can be dangerous and should not be worn.
Skirts must be worn, two inches below the knee (so that when seated skirts can cover knees).
Girls must wear solid black moccasins or loafers.
Only all white crew/standard socks are allowed.
For Boys-
Hair should be well groomed and styled appropriately.
Bright colours, letters, designs or marking shaved into the hair should not be worn.
Earrings in school uniform is not allowed.
Pants
All pants including PE pants must:

Be capable of staying on the waist without a belt.

Be worn at or above the hips and over all underweae.

Not to be excessively baggy.

Have a crotch that does not hang excessively low.

Have excess material at the foot or drags.

Only a black belt must be worn.

Boys must wear black dress shoes with all black or dark brown socks.
Cell Phones and other Electronic Communication Devices
Cell Phones and other communication devices should not be brought to school.
